The St. Louis region has become the #1 fastest growing major metro for foreign-born populations in the US.

The annual Growing Global event hosted by World Trade Center St. Louis was held at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Clayton today. The conference was a celebration of St. Louis’ economic growth and dedication to diversity. Attended by some 750 folks from various economic sectors of the greater St. Louis metro workforce focused on how and why the metro region competes for global talent. This particularly focused on STEM fields, with agtech being a highlight.

Luz Irina A. Calderón Villalobos was recognized as a Growing Global Ambassador. Her leadership at the KWS Group Gateway Research Center has been instrumental for growing the agtech ecosystem in our region and within the 39 North district.
