The Danforth Center is excited to announce that the CropReporter system has been replaced with a new PlantExplorer Max imaging platform. This new camera can do the same capabilities as the CropReporter, plus more:

  • Photosynthetic efficiency (Fv/Fm, NPQ, Fq’/Fm’).

  • Spectral health indices (chlorophyll index, NDVI, anthocyanin index).

  • Color images (for plant size, shape, and color).

  • NEW: GFP and RFP of whole plants, seeds, and callus.

  • NEW: OJIP and PAM measurements of photosynthetic efficiency (previously only OJIP), enabling qE, qI, Electron Transport Rate, and more.

  • NEW: Higher resolution images.

To introduce the Plant Explorer Max and highlight what it can do, the Danforth Center invites you to attend a free 1 hour seminar by Dr. Katie Murphy to learn the difference between OJIP and PAM, and how this equipment can help your research questions. Whether you are a CropReporter user or are new to phenotyping, this session will provide useful context and practical information.
